I sometimes fantasize that with the snap of a finger, I could step into a world free of life’s demands, a child’s playground where magic exists and everything is right with the world.

My Light Paintings are that portal. Through them, I leave the familiar world behind and enter realms that are at once vibrant, surreal and peaceful.

The unusual light and surreal atmosphere in this series are created primarily in-camera, by painting the scenes with colored light during long exposures. Although some digital manipulation exists, the lighting itself is not a digital effect.
