Shot the shot… now sleep the sleep…

Its 2:30am in Minneapolis. I’m in my van parked on a residential street, lying on the comfy bed I’ve made for myself in the back, and borrowing internet access from a neighbor. A short while ago I finished shooting in downtown St Paul, the older of the twin cities. I met several great guys at the show today - Jeb, Donald and Emmanuel - who took me on a tour of the city’s urban rot. All three are rappers who also record their own beats. They really understood what I was looking for, so I’m very happy with tonight’s shooting, and I have at least one great location lined up for tomorrow night.

My challenge now is to NOT stay up for several more hours… I have a long day tomorrow, followed by another long night of shooting, followed by an even longer day and night on Sunday. But I’m pumped by caffeine and by the excitement of the shoot. Okay… I’m going to shut this computer off and close my eyes… but who am I kidding… I’m wide awake…
