Belly Dancing

My wife Pam studies belly dance, which is cool. It’s a gypsy derived dance form that I’ve noticed has many similarities to Flamenco dance, the Spanish gypsy dance and culture. Growing up in a Spanish family, I’ve often been exposed to the unbelievable energy and passion of a hypnotic flamenco show. If you’ve never seen a good live performance, well… do it!!

Here are some photos I took at the 28th Annual Rakkasah Middle Eastern Dance Festival (billed as the largest belly dance festival in the world). Vallejo, CA, March 16.
