I just woke up on the couch at my friend Eric Adams’ Brooklyn apartment. Eric was with me on several of my nutty Detroit alley shoots in 2005-2006, including Alley no. 81, Heidelberg Project, and Alley no 74 TC’s Speakeasy. He moved to NYC two years ago. He can’t stay in the same place more than a couple of years. He says he sits down on a nice, comfortable couch, and then its no longer comfortable and he has to get up. I guess he’s due for a move. We went to the way too popular Brooklyn Brewery for some of their beer. Apparantly the owner learned to brew while living in the Middle East where alcohol consumption is illegal. There must be a good underground beer trade in the Middle East because the beer was excellent.
Here’s an unrelated picture…. One of many alley images I have in the waiting. I’ve been shooting like mad, and I have months of work to do to get these new pictures ready - and I keep doing more and more night shoots!! I probably have 25-30 new shots that have to be scanned and cleaned up. The shoots themselves are way more fun! I’ll need to break a leg, so I can sit still for a while.
Shot in Kansas City, MO last summer. Good related story, but I have to go… Its artexpo day 3, and this couch is getting uncomfortable…
